Premium Series Snap Jig Rod for Jay

One of the benefits to having a custom rod made is it’s truly that…created specifically for you and your style of fishing. Jay is a long-time customer who called me last winter and wanted something a “little different”. After trying a prototype blank/rod on snook, bonefish, and other southern species, he liked the overall feel but wanted something better suited for the smaller jigs he was using in Florida.

For this build, we decided on a longer, lighter version of our Premium Series Snap Jig Rod. The rod is 6’3” overall with a softer tip than the standard model that’s better suited for lures and jigs in the 1/4-3/4oz. We went with CFX carbon fiber grips, Fuji TVS reel seat with integrated back lock, and decorative butt cap to keep the handle thin and lightweight. These carbon fiber grips are truly amazing; they feel great, weigh a fraction of standard burl grips, and offer increased sensitivity through the handle. The blank is painted in a charcoal metallic complimented with black and neon green thread wraps for a set of Fuji Black Titanium K Series SiC guides. Custom artwork above the handle help personalize the build to make it truly a one of kind build and “nothing short of amazing”.
